The myth of seperation

We have all heard the sayings ‘you are never alone’  and ‘we are one’ and  it’s easy to understand in our mind but how do we embody this and truly feel this. In my work I come across people who are lonely and feel separated even in a crowd and amongst others; who are feeling separate even when they have good friends around them telling them they are loved and wanted.

What causes this?

Our connection to the divine within and ourselves is the single biggest influence on whether we feel disconnected, separated or a sense of rejection. Bullies pick on people because they have lost the connection to the source within and they see you as separate from them when really, they are separated from themselves and the understanding that at the soul and energetic level we are all connected.

Neuro Linguistic Programming talks about chunking up and chunking down – ie getting more specific or more global in a statement. Using this principle, when we chunk up from the individual, we are a collective of souls who are all drops out of the universal water bucket; we are all mini universes operating in tandem as we go forth and do our mission on the planet. As we chunk down we get to the details of our different personalities and the frequencies, tones, colours and experiences that make each of us unique. The trick is to accept all the aspects of you in your life and whenever you are feeling separate or lacking in love, chunk up and think about things universally and cosmically.

When we are feeling disconnected or rejected from the larger group sometimes it is because we have decided that we aren’t good enough to be a part of things; that we aren’t good enough for someone to love.  Often this is because we have internalised other people’s perceptions of us and are beating ourselves up with these, thus inhibiting our connections with others. Other people’s perceptions of us are led by how much or little they are connected in with the source energy within themselves. The more disconnected they are, the more judgemental they will be of others as they are stuck in the concept of separate; of us vs them mentality. It doesn’t matter if they speak of non-judgement, it is whether they can embody this that is important. Are they walking their talk?

At the universal level there is always acceptance and there is never judgement. There is always love and there is always understanding of diversity and trust for the journey each of us is on. We each have selected certain life lessons to shape us and alchemically create the pearls we become out of the grit of life. When you have truly accepted and mastered your life’s purpose and mission, nothing that happens is ever conceived as a rejection by the universe, or something that shouldn’t have happened. What we learn instead is that everything does truly happen for a reason, even if that reason is to make us so strong and capable that we can do anything and accept nothing but the sovereignty and wisdom of our own soul.

In the words of Bob Marley:

One Love! One heart!

Let’s get together and feel alright.
