My Music & Meditation CDs

I have been making and writing music since I was a child

As a child I used to sit at our old piano and compose sound tracks and music to Jonothon Livingston Seagull. We always had musicians in our house, including those who had successful international careers, so music was a big part of my life. It still is.

Our house was full of weird musical instruments like bagpipe chanters, lutes and mandolins and we would as kids be (dragged in our opinion) to long evenings of Baroque music, opera or avante guarde jazz. My father also made musical instruments and has made a Lute and Violin for Melbourne University in Australia and most recently an incredible hybrid guitar out of Australian timber.

My first song was played by a jazz quartet when I was about 14, and when I was 17, I joined a rock band and we played around 3 times per week which helped me financially get through Uni.

These days, music is still one element of my creative expression and has also played a part in my work with teens.

I like to play around with combining analogue and digital instrumentation and write under the name Pleiadianstar. I have a 2 CD’s of meditations one of which forms part of the audio support for my online course Empowered2Happiness (E2H), (but they can also be used independently as they don’t require the course to be relevant- (12 x 10 min mediations for busy people!!) and If you would like to have a listen for free, please head to my Bandcamp musicians page.

I am currently working on new music. Stay tuned!!

Art

Art is another huge part of my life and I cannot not create!! If you would like to see my art, such as door paintings and digital art, head to my Insta page @soleilpoyntonart

My wish is always for my art to uplift and transform those who encounter it. There seems to be an energy in each painting. Some will speak to you. Others will not.

Art comes through me. My intuition tells me to sit in front of a blank canvas or piece of silk and just start. Then things appear as I work in meditation. When the art is finished, i ask it what it wants to be called and a name comes to me. I do not take commissions as the work has to flow freely through me when the timing is right.

Dots for some reason often come through. The paintings usually want to be painted quickly and I have to bypass my wish for things to be perfect and just follow the pace that comes. It’s always an adventure! I usually have no attachment to anything that is created and don’t look at them after they are done. With that said, I do have a few favourites that adorn my space.

thanks for reading.
