He loved nature; the forest, moon, trees, soundscapes and ocean. He was a keen observer of beings and place, and in communion with the forest and ocean spirits.

His gift was the ability to blend wit, capture the essence of nature and blend this into the structure of the Haiku with presence.

Always a keen student and appreciator of the written and spoken word, he abhorred words such as ‘stuff’ for their lack of descriptive eloquence..
